Unless it rains, the NEN branch of CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) is having a paint our new cache event on Sat.. June 12Th, from 9 a.m. Soon after we received our cache of neighborhood disaster supplies the cache (located in the First Church of the Nazarene eastern parking lot at East and 16Th St. NE, Salem) was targeted by graffiti non-artists. While the offending symbols were painted over, the cover-up wasn’t a match, so we’ve got to remedy the problem.
If you’d prefer sawing, we need a few people delft with a saw and a level as we’ve got to put in some shelves in the cache.
Everyone and anyone is welcome to help out. You do not need to be a CERT member or a resident of North East Neighbors. If you are a CERT member you will receive re-cred hours.
If you can help out call or e-mail either Roger Stevenson (Emergency manager of the City of Salem) rsteven@cityofsalem.net(503)763-3331 or Jacqueline Schindele (CERT member & NEN Board member) jamaschi2@yahoo.com (503) 585-0281
