NEN residents are invited to join representatives from the City of Salem on September 14 to talk about different land use and street design options for State Street. The city Community Development Department wants to know what you think about the options that have been developed based on public input as part of the State Street Corridor Plan project. The options seek to revitalize State Street between 12th and 25th Street into a vibrant, walkable, mixed-use corridor. (See this link for more information about the project.)

The community meeting will start with a presentation, followed by opportunities to ask questions, share ideas and provide input. Your input will be used to help determine what land use and street design options are further evaluated and ultimately recommended to improve the State Street corridor.

The meeting will take place at the Court Street Christian Church, located at 1699 Court Street NE, at 5:30-7:30 PM on Sept. 14. Refreshments will be provided and a Spanish translator will be at the event.
